SHOCK'N THE PARK

We’re taking our dancers out of the studio to come dance with everyone! Come join us for some outdoor fun at our first ever Shock’N the Park community dance event 🎉
 
WHEN? Saturday September 30, 2023
TIME? 1PM – 3PM
WHERE? Strathcona Park, in Sandy Hill, at the intersection of Range Rd and Osgoode Street  
 
This event is FREE to attend and all ages are welcome. Registration is not required to attend the event, so bring your family, friends, and neighbours to a DANCE PARTY in the PARK!

What can you expect at Shock’N the Park?

Activities for the day will include:

  • Live dance performances from the Culture Shock Dance Family
  • Learn some cool dance moves with Matt and his friends at the interactive beginner dance class, free giveaway for participants
  • Dance to some great music all afternoon
  • Hop into the Cypher
  • Face-painting for everyone
  • Snacks for sale during the event
Culture Shock Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging positive lifestyles, non-violence, physical fitness, and community involvement. Alongside the dance troupes, Culture Shock Canada runs youth outreach programs to various schools and community centres across Ottawa and Toronto. These programs are designed to encourage and empower communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities, boost confidence and skills for long-term success and resilience.
Any funds raised at this event will go towards our Culture Shock Dancers, helping to make dance opportunities more accessible to those in our community.
We are so excited for Shock’N the Park, and we hope to see you all there!

2023 INTERNATIONAL CHOEOGRAPHERS' SHOWCASE

Plan ahead, pack your bags and get ready to enjoy the sun, as San Diego is set to host the 2023 International Choreographers’ Showcase, October 13, 14 and 15, 2023. This will be an event for the ages as the the Culture Shock San Diego prepares to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. 

Our Culture Shock Ottawa dance troupe will be performing at this year’s International Choreographers’ Showcase in San Diego!
